The Magic Garden

raising money for charity

Welcome to the Magic Garden website

'Escape the hustle and bustle of busy urban surroundings and enter the secure solitude of the high walled secret garden of one`s childhood: a magical Aladdin`s cave, full of the unexpected. Candles flicker and lanterns glow in the evening, evoking mysterious moods in this small well-planted garden.

Daylight is no less enchanting, the background is green, juxtaposed with restrained colour: a plantsman`s garden, but different'.

(Diana Standeven, The Yellow Book 2006).

The Magic Garden in Wolverhampton is aptly named, holding unexpected delights and is the brainchild of Bob Parker.

Bob purchased the property in 1980 and over the years the garden has become one of Wolverhampton?s most loved and popular tourist attractions.

Bob met partner, Greg Kowalczuk in 2002, (when Greg returned from America) and between them have developed the garden to what it is today, an oasis!

Bob, (who was head of art at St Peter`s Collegiate for 32 years), has all the ideas, design, imagination and planting skills. Greg is the electrician, pruner, cake maker and general labourer. They are a winning team, creating a surely magical garden experience.

To date the garden has raised  £50,501.03 for charity.
